Creating a Zap with GoProof

A Zap is an automated workflow that connects two or more apps together. Each Zap is made up of a trigger (an event that starts the workflow) and one or more actions (what happens automatically as a result). For example, when a new proof is created in GoProof, a Zap could automatically send a Teams message or create a card in Trello—without any manual work or coding.
Think of Zaps as your digital assistants, quietly taking care of repetitive tasks so you can focus on more important work.

Before proceeding, make sure you know how to get to the Zapier integration page and have linked your Zapier and GoProof accounts. To do so, visit this helpsheet.

In this guide, we’re using Google Drive as the trigger and GoProof as the action to demonstrate how the integration works.

GoProof can function as either a trigger or an action, and you can connect it with thousands of other apps available on Zapier—the process remains the same regardless of which apps you choose.

1. Click on the Use this workflow button to select Create GoProof proofs from new files uploaded to Google Drive in the Popular workflows section.

2. The Zap editor will appear with the trigger and action set-up options for you to complete.

3. In this Trigger step, leave the selected App (Google Drive) and Trigger event (New File).

4. Connect/Select the Google account option, login to Google and grant permissions for Zapier to access your Google account.

5. Continue to the next step and select the Drive.

6. Continue to the next step again and cick on the Test trigger button to confirm if your trigger is set up correctly.

8. You will be presented with files from your Google Drive account which you can select to be used for testing the trigger.

9. Click on the Continue with selected record and you will then proceed to the Action section.

10. In this Action step, leave the selected App (GoProof by Oppolis) and Action event (Create Proof).

11. Connect/Select the GoProof account option and follow the instructions on the permissions window regarding your API Key.

12. Once you have copied, entered and clicked on the Yes, Continue to GoProof by Oppolis button, you will be redirected back to the Zap editor.

11. Configure the required fields by clicking on the + button and Continue.

12. Test your Action step and make sure it is successful and Publish your zap once done.

That's it! You have now created and published your Zap. Feel free to visit Zapier's Zaps quick start guide for further assistance.
