ProofHQ was established in 2008 and aquired by Workfront (then named AtTask) in July 2015. The acquisition aimed to integrate online proofing capabilities into Workfront's marketing work management solution.
ProofHQ's integration saw it renamed to Workfront Proof, and it ceased to be sold as a separate, standalone product.
Workfront was then subsiquently aquired by Adobe in 2020 making Workfront Proof part of the Adobe Experience Cloud offering. In early 2024, Adobe announced the official discontinuation of the standalone Workfront Proof product.
