That is the short answer. The details below cover who counts as a reviewer, what they can do, and the one or two moments when GoProof asks them to sign in.
On GoProof, the licensed users are the admins and members of your company account. These are the people who upload proofs, build projects and manage the process. Plans include 2 users on Connect and 5 on Pro, with more on Enterprise.
Everyone else, such as clients, freelancers, printers, colleagues in other departments and outside stakeholders, can be invited as reviewers. Unlimited reviewers are included on every plan, so adding another person to a proof never changes your bill.
In both cases the account is free for the reviewer. If you want the lowest friction for a client, invite them by email and leave the confidential setting off unless the content needs it.
A reviewer can comment, mark up the proof, reply, attach files to a comment and add a voice note. They can press Finish to say they are done. They cannot approve the proof unless you make them a gatekeeper, and they cannot add or remove other people. Our guide to proof roles covers each option.
The easiest check is to send a proof to someone outside your team and watch how they get on. GoProof has a 14-day free trial with no credit card, which is long enough to run a live project through it.
Smarter Proofing. Faster Approvals. GoProof.
Do clients need to pay to review a proof in GoProof?
No. Clients and other reviewers do not need a paid account. Unlimited reviewers are included on every GoProof plan.
Who needs a GoProof licence?
Admin and member users, the people who create and manage proofs, need a licence. Reviewers do not.
Do reviewers have to install anything?
No. Reviewers open the proof in their web browser from the email link. Reviewing a website proof uses a free browser extension for Chrome or Edge.
Why was my reviewer asked to sign in?
Share links and confidential proofs ask for a sign-in. The account is free for the reviewer.
