One line on the back panel

Hand-drawn cartoon of a panicked packaging designer at a desk piled with FINAL PDFs, a circled back-panel error, and a Print Day sticky note

Packaging artwork

Artwork signed off. Printer has a slot. Then regulatory spots one line that has to change on every flavour and every language version. Cue the hunt for which PDF is actually going to press.

The email was the short version. Here is the bit nobody puts in the subject line.

The inbox

Comments land in email, Slack, and three marked-up PDFs. None of them agree. Somehow that is still called a process.

The filename

It was final. Then final_v2. Then v6_approved_FINAL. Then someone found another line on the back panel.

Print day

Brand, technical and regulatory each thought they signed off the same pack. Print day has a sense of humour about that.

Moving pack markup from email and PDFs into GoProof

What changes

One proof. One version. No archaeology.

Reviewers mark up the pack in the browser. Guests do not need an Adobe licence. Every comment and decision sits on the version it belongs to, with a clear record of who finished and who approved.

Text changes can flow back into the Illustrator file through the Adobe panel so the file on disk and the proof on screen stop being distant cousins.

Worth twenty minutes?

If that sounds like your last range change, a short look with the GoProof team is probably cheaper than another FINAL.
