How do I send a Proof? – Adobe CC Add-On

This article is intended to guide you through sending a proof using the GoProof Adobe CC Add-on.

In order to send a proof using the GoProof Add-On, you will need to be using an Adobe CC Supported product, such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and have already installed the GoProof Add-On.

Adobe Creative Cloud

If you have not already installed the GoProof Add-On, please see How do I install the GoProof Extension for instructions on how to install it.

1. Open/Create the document you want to send for review.

2. From the GoProof Add-On, select the Client and Project you wish to add the proof to, from the dropdown menus.

Note: There must be at least one Gatekeeper from the client’s side per review cycle.

Not sure what role to select? Check out the roles below and see what best fits your user.

Reviewers are clients, colleagues and others who receive invitations from Publishers to view proofs and give feedback on them. They are unable to send back or sign off a proof.

Gatekeepers are like Reviewers but with more responsibility. Gatekeepers are the decision makers. They can send proofs back to Publishers once the Reviewers have made all their comments. Gatekeepers have the authority to sign proofs off once they are happy with them. There must be at least one Gatekeeper from the client’s side per review cycle.

Observers simply look at proofs without submitting any comments on them. This read-only access is ideal for occasional sharing or allowing someone to see proofs without affecting the review process.

8. You have the option to write a message to the Reviewers and Gatekeepers. This message will be included in the email the user receives; advising them there is a document for a review. If you do not wish to enter a message, leave this blank. Press Next to continue.

Tip! If this is the first time your client has reviewed a document, you may find it useful to send them the link to the support article How do I review a Proof?
